Nick (Jsu Garcia) mostly tolerates his job at Bernstein's department store, where he keeps an eye out for shoplifters using a set of cameras and monitors. One day, he spies Emily (Meredith Bishop) skillfully walking out with some goods, and, intrigued, Nick lets her get away. They cross paths again later, after he is fired from the store and having problems with a gang of moneylenders. Hatching a scheme to rob his former employer, Nick blackmails Emily into helping him execute it.
